Carers’ Day
Hi Everyone,
Did you know that it is estimated over 6 ½ million people act as Carers in the UK? We know that kidney patients often require extra support and care at various stages in their journey and Carers can be the unsung heroes behind conditions like this.
Keith as the Chair of the Hope Kidney Patient Association, Janet Cairnie our Complementary Therapy Lead and myself are delighted to inform you that we are organising a “Carers’ Day” supported by NHS Salford CCG funding (administered by Salford CVS). This will be on Sunday 18th March between 11am – 4pm and is completely free. It is at the Rainbow Room Community Centre on Liverpool Road in Eccles.
The idea is to get together to talk about the role of caring with somebody with kidney problems and what it involves, getting support from each other and have a free massage or beauty treatment from one of our complementary therapists.
There will be a free hot lunch and there will be some stalls which will be giving advice on benefits, holidays, grants and kidney related matters.
If you are interested in going, please sign up on Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/salford-carers-day-tickets-42231809479). Alternatively you can contact Keith on 07770 681 496 or email keith@mkpennington.uk.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
